O.T.V. is a club with a great history, in the field
of working dogs and earlier also show dogs.
Several of our members were Belgium Champion, Provincial Champion and a lot of them were
WUSV-competitor. Most of these members start in our club with dogsport, and
developed themselves to tophandlers. What gives us very much satisfaction.
The owner of the first Belgium dog who gained a V-auslese title on the Hauptzuchtschau in
Germany, was also a member of our club. There are several breeders in our club.
A few kennelnames from our current and former breeders : Von der Daelenberghütte,
van Lummenhof, van de Getevallei, van het Basjes Huis, Von Muikenshof, van de
witte Toren, van de Bloemenboom, van Corsalabroek, von der Zuchtspitze, von
tamaraspitze, .................... .
I'm a member of this club since 1980. The figure-head and instructor of the club was
Laurent Baens, self several times Belgium Champion, Provincial Champion and more times
WUSV-competitor. He is a Belgium judge of working dogs and he was WUSV-coach of the
Belgium team by all the Belgium World-Champions. He's also director of the committee
of working dogs in VVDH.
I'm helper in this club since 1982 and help as instructor in the club since 1990.
I'm as a secretary also a long time(with a little break) member of the committee. From
half 1998 we have verdickt Roger as our new chairman.
O.T.V. is a club with a special, hard but fair mentality. It costs a little
time to settle here, but once you know it better, you'll never want to miss it anymore.
I'm proud to be a member of such a great club !!
Although we have got some really bad news at the end of 1999. The governement obliged us to move because they want to plant trees on our training field. We have trained here since 1971. We were a little handicapped to train and we had to look out for another place, and we finally found one , very short to our old club. We proofed already be able to organize big events, like nationals, selectiontrials, regionals, and after these trials everybody went home satisfied, competitiors, spectators and technical staff, etc......We invite everyone, novice or experienced, to visit us at one of our trainings or trials , to experience our open and warm clubmentality yourself....I hope to see you soon there,..P.S. Don't forget to bring your German shepherd with you, cause...O.T.V. is the PLACE TO BE !!!!!!!
